Melissa will reprise her performance as Maria Cosway, the Anglo-Italian woman who stole Thomas Jefferson’s heart, at two upcoming performances of More Between Heaven and Earth.  The first performance will take place January 9 at the American Philosophical Society in Philadelphia, and the second on January 18 at the Fraunces Tavern Museum in New York.

Hear a unique evening of reading and music where a lifetime of love letters bring poignant insights into American and European history as well as the psyche of one of history’s great leaders.  With orchestra, the audience will hear songs of the era including compositions by Maria Cosway herself.
