Eve Weidegger (Melissa Errico), twenty-something and terminally single, lives downtown and runs a small business as a wedding photographer. She spends her days off roaming the city, taking photographs and portraits, secretly nurturing her true passion of becoming a real artist. She comes from a wealthy Manhattan family, obsessed with landing their two daughters in suitable marriages to doctors, lawyers, or bankers. Her younger sister is about to marry the perfect specimen. As that wedding day approaches, Eve meets a musician backstage at an East Village club after a show by her best friend, a lesbian performance artist/ comedian (Beth Littleford). Eve has her wall up, but the attraction is immediate. They have a brief romance, before Eve realizes she cannot give up her independence and will not bend to his whimsical plans.
