Blue Like That

“Her debut solo album, Blue Like That, has a conversational ease that’s seductive.”

— Washington Post

Guided by legendary producer Arif Mardin (Norah Jones, Bette Midler, Laura Nyro, Barbra Streisand, Aretha Franklin), Melissa created a debut album which critics called seductive, smart, imaginative, sexy, intimate, understated and refreshing. Melissa’s alluring voice captures many moods: the heartbroken (“He Was Too Good To Me”), the giddy (“Blue Like That”), the sensual (“Hot in Here”) or philosophical (“And So It Goes”). She also features the songwriting skills of her brother and guitarist Mike Errico in the groovy “I Still Love You” and witty “Keep It To Myself.”

Joined by a team of world-class musicians, including jazz pianist Alan Pasqua, Blue Like That, which The New York Times called “gorgeous,” reflects Melissa’s eclectic taste in music and confirms that the singer’s stylistic roots can be found not only in classics like Rodgers and Hart but in the modern-day standards of such songsmiths as Joni Mitchell, Randy Newman, Billy Joel, and Rickie Lee Jones.
