Read all about "LULLABIES AND WILDFLOWERS" at www.myspace.com/lullabiesandwildflowers.  A cd about memory and promise, Melissa's music appeals to anyone who ever wanted a soft bedtime caress and sweet dreams.  Inspired by classic songs and lullabies from gentle folk to sophisticated jazz, Melissa wrote original lyrics and interpreted an original song by her brother Mike.  Moved by motherhood and wanting to create a unique musical atmosphere of traditional and unusual lullabies, Melissa offers this cd in loving tribute to all new mothers, and in honor of the many she has met in these magical first years with Victoria (while founding a downtown mother's support group 'the bowerybabes' in Manhattan now comprised of hundreds of families).  May the cd bring peace, a soothing thought, a chance to reflect, and an offering to anyone who might simply want peaceful and evocative dreams tonight.  Reviews are calling it soothing, serene and sensual- "a reflection on the journey of motherhood- most of the album has a jazzy feel with some pop influences and light tingles of gentle folk music. The songs sway with rhythmic care and genteness like the rise and fall of calm waves." (Jordan Richardson)

In the coming year, Melissa will plan the long-awaited release of "The Summer Knows" -- an exciting collaboration with multi-Oscar winning film/jazz/pop composer Michel Legrand, one of Melissa's musical idols, who conducted, arranged and wrote new material with Alan and Marilyn Bergman, produced by the legendary Phil Ramone. It was recorded with a 100-piece pop symphony in Brussels, and a superlative jazz rhythm section of Steve Gadd and David Finck. In the winter and spring of 2005-2006, she has given sneak-peek concerts of this material at The Kennedy Center with The National Symphony (conducted by Marvin Hamlisch), solo several times at Joe's Pub and The Living Room, and on Smooth Jazz cd 101.9 Radio.

With her debut "Blue Like That" in 2003 on EMI Records, Melissa opened the door to a new journey in her career. She quickly began developing a name for herself in the music world, as critics touted her work as seductive, thoughtful and sexy, and put her in a category with a growing list of young musicians who are playing to a wide range of listeners, redefining the genre of jazz-inspired pop, and exploring their eclectic tastes. Produced by Arif Mardin for Manhattan Records/ Capitol (EMI), her debut CD is a collection of original pop and soft-rock (some written by her brother Mike Errico) and lesser-known covers by Randy Newman, Shawn Colvin, Rickie Lee Jones, and Billy Joel. The title track "Blue Like That" was written for her by Jeff Franzal, Tom Kimmell, and Mark Luna, with another original by Phil Galdston. With touches of jazz and R&B stylings, strings and woodwinds, the CD tells stories that are personal to Melissa - with arrangements by Arif Mardin that highlight Melissa's collaboration with jazz pianist Alan Pasqua. Melissa has sung on concert stages and at intimate clubs, from Avery Fisher Music Hall to Joe's Pub, from The Kennedy Center Opera House to the Cafe Carlyle and Wolf Trap. She has won rave reviews for her cabaret and concert appearances, and is often a favorite to perform at prestigious events and concerts nationwide, including her esteemed 2008 London debut at the Palladium Theater with the Royal Philharmonic.  She is a regular at New York's Symphony Space "Wall to Wall" series, and City Center, and for many years has sung the National Anthem live on CBS at the US Open, at Madison Square Garden and around the world. In 2004, she played the Oak Room (with a five-piece band) at the Algonquin Hotel in a show called "Spring Fever," featuring original and classic sophisticated rock standards by the likes of James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison and younger new songwriters like her brother Mike Errico, and pianist/ arranger Clifford Carter (James Taylor Band). In 2006 and 2008, she appeared at Joes Pub and in 2006-2007 for seven successful engagements at Birdland. There is always plenty for theater lovers as well, as she freshly re-envisions such songs as "I've Grown Accustomed to (His) Face" and Sondheim's "Not While I'm Around" and "I Remember."
