WHITE CHRISTMAS ON BROADWAY 2009- 2010 Dec 7th, 2009:"I am having the time of my life with this show. The audiences warm my heart and the cast is delicious. Thank you for all the amazing support and I'll see you all backstage!" (see photo gallery for pics) October 26, 2009: "I began rehearsals on Friday and its been three amazing days. They called it "Boot Camp for Melissa" since I haven't done the show before. My first day I learned the Sisters dance, with the feathers!, and I worked up quite a sweat. And the next day, we did blocking of the whole show and I learned the boogie woogie dancing of "Falling Out of Love"... I can't even sit still during my breaks I'm having so much fun. Today I worked with the fantastic James Clow, and then skipped lunch to get to a five hour fitting, complete with corsets and pointy boobies, and breathtaking clothes. I can't believe how many seamstresses and drapers are involved in this show, and I'm so honored; my jaw hits the floor to walk around the Parsons studio where they make the costumes for everything like the Lion King etc etc. Carrie Robbins, the designer, was there the whole time and we had a fantastic day. Dancing in a pencil skirt and 4 inch heels will be interesting for Mommy. They want to keep the skirts really tight because they say it looks sexy! Carrie suggested I practice the dances tomorrow with my legs tied together with thick pieces of elastic! She started creating this crazy contraption to tie my legs and knees together. I told her I'd find a tight skirt in my closet! By Thursday the whole cast shows up and off we go!
